embedded movies play fine in QC, but not in quicktime?

Hi all,
I'm using the movie patch and my compositions play just fine in QC, but if I try playing the composition in quicktime or export to quicktime, the movies don't show up (all the other patches work fine).

Is there something I don't know about quicktime?
